"It Doesn't Matter Anymore" is a pop ballad written by Paul Anka and recorded by Buddy Holly. It was released as a single on January 5, 1959, less than a month before Holly's death. The song was included on his first posthumously released compilation album The Buddy Holly Story. "It Doesn't Matter Anymore" reached number 13 as a posthumous hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in early 1959 and number one on the UK Singles Chart on April 24, 1959, remaining on the top for 3 weeks.
