"I Don't Like Mondays" is a song by Irish new wave group the Boomtown Rats. It was released in 1979 as the lead single from their third album, The Fine Art of Surfacing. The song was a number one single in the UK Singles Chart for four weeks during the summer of 1979 and it only reached number 73 on the US Billboard Hot 100.

Nu Shooz - I Can't Wait

"I Can't Wait" is a song by American group Nu Shooz, originally recorded in late 1984 and featured on the band's second album Tha's Right the following year. The song was remixed by Dutch DJ and producer Peter Slaghuis: that appears on the 1986 album Poolside. The remixed version of the song reached No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play chart in late March 1986 and peaked at No. 3 on the Hot 100 in mid-June of that year.

Don Johnson - Heartbeat

"Heartbeat" is a 1982 song written by Eric Kaz and Wendy Waldman. It was first recorded by Waldman and released on her 1982 album Which Way to Main Street. The most famous rendition of the song is a 1986 cover of the song by Don Johnson, which was released as a single and included on Johnson's album Heartbeat, his version peaked at number five on the Billboard Hot 100.

Dolly Parton ft. Kenny Rogers - Islands In The Stream

"Islands in the Stream" is a song written and later recorded by the Bee Gees. It was sung by American country music artists Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton. It was released in August 1983 as the first single from Rogers's album Eyes That See in the Dark. The song reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States, giving both Rogers and Parton their second pop number-one hit (after Rogers's "Lady" in 1980 and Parton's "9 to 5" in 1981).

Chris De Burgh - Lady In Red

"The Lady in Red" is a song by British-Irish singer-songwriter Chris de Burgh. It was released in 1986 as the second single from the album Into the Light. The song peaked to number three on the Billboard Hot 100 during the spring of 1987.

After The Fire - Der Kommissar

"Der Kommissar" is a song written by Robert Ponger and Falco and recorded by Austrian artist Falco in 1981. In mid-1982, the British rock band After the Fire recorded an English version, also called "Der Kommissar", and released it as a single, but the record floundered. Then the After the Fire version finally hit the US Billboard Hot 100 singles chart on 22 February 1983 and peaked at No. 5.
