It was released on November 30, 1994, as his debut single, and was later re-released in July 1995 as the lead single from his second album, Scatman's World (1995). The single peaked at number three on the UK Singles Chart on May 27, 1995; number 60 on the US Billboard Hot 100 on October 7, 1995; and at number 11 on the Vitrola Stereo's TOP15 on August 12, 1995.
