"Born in the U.S.A." is a song written and performed by American singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen. It was released on October 30, 1984 as the third single from the almbum of the same name. The single peaked at number 5 on the UK Official Chart on February 16, 1985 and at number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 on January 19 1985.
