"Nel blu, dipinto di blu" popularly known as "Volare" is a song originally recorded by Italian singer-songwriter Domenico Modugno. It was released on February 1, 1958 as single from his EP "La strada dei successi". The song spent five non-consecutive weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 from August 18, 1958.
