"Mama Told Me (Not to Come)" is a song by American singer-songwriter Randy Newman written for Eric Burdon's first solo album in 1966. In May 1970, American rock band Three Dog Night released their version that topped the Billboard Hot 100 in July 11, 1970, remining at the top for 2 weeks.
