American singer Whitney Houston recorded a cover of the song for her self-titled debut studio album (1985). It was released on August 13, 1985. On December 14, the song became her first song to top the US Billboard Hot 100, staying there for two weeks. In the UK it was #1 of the Chart on December 14 (2 weeks).
