"Funkytown" is a song by the American disco act Lipps Inc. from their debut album, "Mouth to Mouth" (1979). It was released as the album's second single in 1980. The song reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent four consecutive weeks in that position, starting from May 31.
