The song was performed by Irene Cara, it was also her debut single as a recording artist. "Fame" rose to number four on the Billboard Hot 100 in September 1980. It also reached number one on the Billboard dance chart for one week.

Captain & Tennille - Do that to me one more time

"Do That to Me One More Time" is a song performed by the American pop duo Captain & Tennille. It was their 13th charting hit in the United States, and their second number 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on February 16, 1980. The song was included on the duo's 1979 studio album, Make Your Move.

Blondie - Call Me

Produced and co-written by Italian musician Giorgio Moroder and released in the United States in early 1980 as a single, "Call Me" was No. 1 for six consecutive weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, where it became the band's biggest single and second No. 1.

Robert Palmer - Johnny and Mary

It is AC/DC's first single with Brian Johnson as the lead singer, replacing Bon Scott who died of alcohol poisoning in February 1980.  It reached number 35 on the  USA's Hot 100  pop singles chart in  1980 . The single was re-released internationally in 1986, following the release of the album  Who Made Who .

The song was a worldwide hit, charting number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks, from 4 October to 18 October.
