In 1971, Welsh singer Tom Jones recorded a cover version that became his highest-charting single in the United States. His version was released on January 16, 1971, as the lead single from the album Tom Jones Sings She's a Lady. The single peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 on March 20, 1971, and at number 13 on the UK Official Chart on February 20, 1971.
