"Real Love" is a song written by English musician John Lennon in 1979. That year, Lennon recorded several demo versions of the song; six of these were later combined to produce a version released posthumously on the soundtrack to the documentary Imagine: John Lennon (1988). In 1995, a new version was completed by his former The Beatles bandmates—Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr—as part of The Beatles Anthology. The song was released on March 4, 1996, and peaked at number 4 on the UK Official Chart on March 16, 1996, and at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 on March 23, 1996.
