"Yesterday" is a song by the English rock band the Beatles, written primarily by Paul McCartney and credited to Lennon–McCartney. It was first released on the album Help! in August 6, 1965 and as a single in September 13, 1965. The song topped the Billboard Hot 100 on 9 October for four weeks.
