"My Ding-a-Ling" is a novelty song written and recorded by Dave Bartholomew. It was covered by Chuck Berry in 1972 and became his only number-one Billboard Hot 100 single in the United States. The song was released on July 1972. On October 21 the song peaked the #1 on the Hot 100 and remained it for 2 weeks. In the UK it topped the singles chart on November 25, 1972 and remained on top for 4 weeks.
