The VH1 Save The Music Foundation & WJM Join Forces To Launch The WJM Music Education Fund

On Monday, September 16 th, Paul Cothran, Vice President & Executive Director of the VH1 Save The Music Foundation, appeared at the UN to introduce WJM, the world's youngest social impact rock band, for their performance at the TEDxUNPLaza conference. During his introduction, Cothran announced the formation of the WJM Music Education Fund to benefit the VH1 Save The Music Foundation, a fundraising initiative spearheaded by kids for kids.

To support this fund, donors can go to vh1savethemusic.org/donate. When completing the donation process be sure to check the "In Honor Of" box and list the "In Honor of Name" as WJM Music Education Fund. The "In Honor of Email" is WJMtheband@gmail.com.  $50 restores music education for one child.

"We are very excited about the WJM Music Education Fund," said Paul Cothran. "To see kids at such a young age be so talented and inspired to help other children is incredible. We feel like this will be a great beginning to a long partnership."

WJM is William, Jeremy, and Max – three California 5th graders that have turned their love of music into an instrument for change. The boys have performed at major events in 2013 including the Fourth of July Celebration for San Francisco.  Every dollar from WJM's performances has gone to support children's charities such as Second Harvest Food Bank, Camp Okizu, San Francisco Firefighters Toys Program, the Bridge School, and St. Baldrick's.

The next major concert event will be at AT&T Park in San Francisco at the Snowbomb Festival on November 9 th and 10th.  William, Jeremy, and Max will dedicate those shows to support the mission of VH1 Save The Music Foundation through the WJM Music Education Fund.
