"El 7 de Septiembre" (September 7th) is a song by the Spanish band Mecano. It was released on May 27, 1991, as the lead single from their sixth studio album, "Aidalai" (1991). The song topped the Spanish singles chart on June 8, 1991, a position it held for 3 weeks. Additionally, the song was a big hit in Latin America that year.
