"The Man Who Sold the World" is a song written by English singer-songwriter David Bowie (1970). Nirvana recorded a live rendition of the song during their MTV Unplugged appearance at Sony Music Studios in New York City on 18 November 1993 and included it on their MTV Unplugged in New York album the following year.
