"Faith" is a song written and performed by George Michael, from his 1987 debut solo album of the same name. The single was released on October 12 1987 and it held the number-one position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for four weeks and, according to Billboard magazine, was the number-one single of the year in the United States.
