"Woman" is a song written and performed by English singer John Lennon. It was released on January 12, 1981 as the second single from his album Double Fantasy (1980). The song was the first Lennon single issued after his murder on 8 December 1980 and topped the UK Singles Chart on February 7, 1981 a position it held for 2 weeks. In the US it peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 on March 21, 1981.
