"Hanky Panky" is a song written by Jeff Barry and Ellie Greenwich for their group, the Raindrops. It was recorded in 1966 by Tommy James and the Shondells and originally released in October 1964. The song was re-released in May 1966 and reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on July 16, 1966, a position it held for two weeks.
