Kim Carnes - Bette Davis Eyes

"Bette Davis Eyes" is a song originally written and composed by Donna Weiss and Jackie DeShannon in 1974. Kim Carnes' version was a hit in 1981. It was released in March 9, 1981 as lead single from her album Mistaken Identity (1981). It spent nine non-consecutive weeks on top of the US Billboard Hot 100 from May 16, 1981 (originally on top for five weeks, then interrupted for one week by the "Stars on 45 Medley", then returned to the top spot for another four weeks) and became Billboard's biggest hit of the year.
