"I Put a Spell on You" is a 1956 song written and composed by Jalacy "Screamin' Jay" Hawkins (1956). Annie Lennox recorded her own version of the song in 2013, and released it on September 15, 2014, as the lead single from her sixth studio album, Nostalgia. Her cover reached number 97 on the Billboard Hot 100 on February 28, 2015.
