"Hot in the City" is a song by Billy Idol. It was released on May 27, 1982 as the lead single from his 1982 self-titled debut album. The single charted at No. 23 in the US in September 11, 1982 and No. 58 in the UK. The song was used in the film Big, starring Tom Hanks, and in the intro of Booker, the TV series spin-off of 21 Jump Street (1988).
